Get Ahead With Our Summer Math Camp 2022

Our Goal

We are here to inspire, educate, and entertain. Basically, we want to give kids the understanding and mastery of both basic and advanced math principles to improve academic performance and prepare them for careers in math, science, engineering, accounting, finance, economics, business, design, and every other area where a strong math foundation is helpful. We also want to bring a creative approach, enthusiasm, and non-traditional teaching techniques to help instill a greater appreciation for the wonders of mathematics and the world it opens up to us all!

Elite Instruction

Our chief instructor Malik King is an MIT grad and a former national math competitor with over 25 years of teaching and tutoring experience with hundreds of clients, both children and adults. Other instructors have included a Stanford grad and current and former undergrad and graduate students at MIT, Harvard, Columbia, Brown, and Princeton.

Extensive Preparation

3-Week Program, 3 Hours a Day - 45 Hours of one-on-one and small group instruction Equivalent to nearly half a year of in-school curriculum

Access to Online Resources/Advanced Techniques

-Learn tricks most schools don’t teach -A full-year subscription to the most comprehensive online math practice site is included for all students -Learn “Mental Math” shortcuts and tricks to train your brain to be “calculator fast”

Competition and Games

A core part of the “MathFun” system is using races, games, and other non- traditional teaching techniques to make learning math more entertaining, so that kids WANT to learn more!

Course Options

Mathematics

– Elementary Math – Fractions/Decimals/Percents

– Pre-Algebra – Algebra I & II – Geometry -Trigonometry

– Pre-Calculus – Calculus – Statistics

Additionally, We Have ISEE/SSAT/SAT/ACT/SHSAT Prep (mornings only): Improve understanding and increase scores on the standardized tests used for top secondary schools and colleges. While we will focus mostly on Math, we do target components of the Verbal as well. Our top instructors have extensive experience teaching and tutoring all kinds of standardized tests for secondary school, college, and even graduate school, including PSAT, SAT, ACT, SSAT/ISEE, SHSAT, TACHS/HSPT, GRE, and GMAT.

Engineering

The Engineering Xperience (afternoons only): A hands on math-focused engineering experience, where students will design and build working projects that help demonstrate how math is applied in every day technology. Potential modules include Simple Machines, Bridges and Structures, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics, Robotics, Propulsion and more.

Session Calendar

Sessions last 3 weeks, and are 3 hours a day (M-F). This provides a total of 45 hours of one-on-one and small group coaching from elite instructors.

Sessions 1A/1P: July 5 – July 22*
Sessions 2A/2P: July 25 – Aug 12
Sessions 3A/3P: Aug 15 – Sep 2

*There will be no classes on Mon, July 4. There is an optional makeup class on Saturday, July 9.

We have two 3-hour time frames to choose from:

Morning Sessions (8:30am-11:30am)
Afternoon Sessions (12:30pm-3:30pm)

For parents that want to keep their child here from 8:30am-3:30pm, we can combine the Engineering Xperience option with either the Math curriculum.
